Forget the usual beach getaways! These are the 3 destinations actually taking this summer by storm.

While many popular beach destinations are experiencing afternoons absolutely teeming with people on their shores, a growing number of travelers are opting for a different way to beat the heat: heading for the mountains.
This travel trend is heading towards 3 cool destinations offering diverse experiences: Fansipan (Sa Pa), Ba Na (Da Nang), and Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh).
Fansipan, Sa Pa – Northern Summer Retreat Paradise
Perched at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, Sa Pa offers a refreshing escape from the scorching heat of the North, with temperatures consistently below 25 degrees Celsius. In the early mornings or late afternoons, the entire town is often enveloped in a cool, romantic mist.
This season, Sa Pa captivates even the most discerning travelers with its expansive natural beauty. The terraced rice fields, in their prime, unfurl like lush green silk ribbons across the villages of Y Linh Ho, Ta Phin, Ta Van, and the Muong Hoa Valley.

The sacred Fansipan Peak looks magically beautiful even on the hottest summer days.
If you're looking for a destination that encapsulates all the 'essence' of Sa Pa, don't miss Sun World Fansipan Legend – a resort nestled amidst the spectacular natural scenery of the sacred Fansipan Peak, offering a diverse array of unique local cultural experiences.
As you glide along the cable car to the 'Roof of Indochina,' travelers will be treated to the majestic and poetic beauty of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The moment the cable car cabin doors open, a fairyland welcomes you with ethereal white clouds, a solemn spiritual complex, and the imposing Fansipan Peak standing grandly amidst the endless mountains.
After half a day exploring Fansipan Peak, dedicate the other half to discovering the cable car departure station area, featuring a valley of millions of vibrant roses and a vast flower garden spanning tens of hectares with diverse species like red salvia, purple flowers, and blue star creeper... creating a truly fairytale-like romantic setting. Additionally, there's a 'small village' here representing five ethnic minority groups: H'Mong, Tay, Giay, Dao, and Xa Pho, where visitors can interact with locals and discover unique cultural traditions, beliefs, and cuisine.
Ba Na – A Fairyland of Festive Delights
Located in the 'tourism capital' of Central Vietnam, Ba Na Peak was an ideal resort for the French over a hundred years ago during their time in Indochina. To this day, it remains a cool and refreshing escape, drawing visitors to Da Nang.
Not only is it world-famous for its Golden Bridge, Ba Na Hills has long been dubbed a 'fairyland.' Here, the air is cool and fresh amidst cloud-shrouded mountains, with vibrant flowers blooming all year round. Just immersing yourself in this refreshing retreat is enough to make you never want to leave.
What's more, Ba Na Peak hosts an entire world of sightseeing and entertainment at Sun World Ba Na Hills, featuring fairytale-like castles, non-stop seasonal festivals, countless unique and lively art performances around every corner, and indoor entertainment zones captivating enough to keep young people entertained all day long.

Ba Na is buzzing with festivals during summer days.
At night, Ba Na transforms into a magical wonderland straight out of a fairytale. Castles sparkle brightly amidst the lingering mist. Music and lively dances at Beer Plaza square animate the atmosphere. The one-of-a-kind 3D Mapping light show at the Sun Castle transports visitors into a dreamlike virtual world.
Those who love romance will simply want to stay in Ba Na forever, to wander along misty paths every evening, feeling the crisp chill on their shoulders and in their hair. Who wouldn't want to escape the heat in such an enchanting and beautiful place?
Ba Den Mountain – A Journey into a Cool, Peaceful Spiritual Realm
Just about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Den Mountain is a top summer destination in the Southern region, where temperatures are consistently 8-10 degrees Celsius cooler than the city. In July, visitors might even need a jacket in the middle of summer, as temperatures on Ba Den Peak hover around 15 degrees Celsius, with mist and clouds creating an ethereal and romantic atmosphere, much like a second Da Lat. Many travelers choose this peak as an ideal weekend escape from the heat.
This season is also prime for cloud hunting on Ba Den Mountain. Visitors will have the chance to admire a floating sea of clouds and might even be lucky enough to witness the fascinating 'flying saucer cloud' phenomenon that has recently made Ba Den Mountain famous.
Beyond enjoying the fresh and cool environment, visitors come to Ba Den Mountain to find peace and pray for good fortune at the system of Ba Den Mountain pagodas. This spiritual anchor for people in the Southern region is closely associated with the 300-year-old Ba Pagoda and the sacred legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva.

Clouds swirl gracefully around the foot of the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue on summer days.
Additionally, at the mountain's peak lies a magnificent spiritual and cultural space featuring the 72-meter-tall Tay Bo Da Son Buddha Statue, a Buddhist exhibition area with a modern 3D mapping projection on the dome illustrating the universe in Buddhist cosmology, a display zone showcasing replicas of many classic Buddhist artworks from Vietnam and around the world, and a Hologram projection area that allows visitors to explore 16 of Vietnam's oldest and most famous pagodas using modern 3D holographic imaging technology.
Furthermore, visitors to Ba Den Mountain can admire the cluster of Prajnaparamita Sutra pillars located at the heart of the spiritual architectural complex on the mountain peak. This cluster comprises 5 black galaxy granite pillars, intricately carved with the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra in gold-leafed Tibetan script. The largest pillar measures 2 meters in diameter and stands 19.8 meters tall.

A kaleidoscope of flowers blooms vibrantly on Ba Den Mountain.
Notably, Ba Den Mountain is currently one of the rare places in the world that preserves a relic of Shakyamuni Buddha. This Buddha relic was presented to Vietnam by the World Buddhist Federation at Bodh Gaya, India, and is now enshrined in the relic space on the 4th floor of the Buddhist exhibition area at the peak of Ba Den Mountain.
Traveling to Ba Den Peak and its pagoda complex by cable car is also a fascinating experience worth trying. From the cable car, visitors can take in the entire majestic mountainous landscape, as well as panoramic views of the plains at the foot of the mountain.
